Bigfoot is my favorite cryptid by far.
They also provide the most compelling case of any of the cryptids. Pretty much every ancient culture has some version of them in their lore. We have fossil evidence of Gigantopithecus which is an ancestor of the orangutan, and very close resembles most of those legends physically. In addition, those who it doesn’t match have specific regional biologic niches to fill. Finally, there are still regular reported sightings around the world on a regular basis.
Still, hardly anyone actually believes they ever existed. Let alone considers that they still do.
Hell, I am not even convinced that sasquatch is still roaming around.
But do I ever hope I am wrong.
At any rate, our good friend the skunk ape has a message for us all.
Believe in yourself, even if no one else will.
